Finding our identity again
"I think, therefore I am."
René Descartes
"Our separation from each other is an optical illusion of consciousness."
Albert Einstein
Are we independant individuals dissociated from the Whole? Or are we called to dissolve ourselves completely and to lose our own consciousness?
According to ancient wisdom and even contemporary science, we are individualized beings but part of an intensely living universe. We are an expression of this great Whole, we are the window through which this Whole sees.
This window can however be open or closed. In most cases the window is only slightly open. It is up to us to open it completely and to let light pass through, to bathe in this light and to realize that we are this light.
Who am I? This eternal question which leads us to another question: What am I not?
Am I my body? Am I my emotions? Am I my thoughts? Am I the thinker? Am I the ego? Am I an individual or am I nothing?
I am all of that and I am not that. Upon pronouncing the word I, the ego is created. A division takes place between me and that which is not me, the rest of the universe. Is this an illusion? All that exists is one and indivisible.
If you are one of the people who feel the call of consciousness, you are invited to read the pages of this site. These pages aim to incite reflection and awareness. They are not addressed solely to the intellect but more to the heart since life can only be perfectly expressed through the heart.

"Thought, which is only an instrument, a partial function listed in a hierarchy of infinitely more vast and ordered functions, has understood itself as an entity, tending to act of its own accord, separating itself from and opposing the unity of togetherness with which it is inextricably linked, whether it wants to be or not."
Robert Linssen
"Pleasure or pain are aspects of the mind only. Our essential nature is happiness. But we have forgotten the Self and imagine that the body or the mind is the Self. It is that wrong identity that gives rise to misery."
Ramana Maharshi
"Our life is what our thoughts make it."
Marcus Aurelius
